A winner of the American Theatre Wing’s 2020 Musical Theatre Songwriting Challenge, Henry Crater has devoted his life to the theatre. He is an actor, singer, songwriter and dancer who has appeared in professional productions across Southwest Florida. Henry's compositions have been performed by Broadway stars Rachel Zegler, Jason Gotay, Anna Zavelson, and a number of University of Michigan Musical Theatre students. Henry’s most recent project, the one-act musical EINSTEIN OF LOVE, was produced at the University of Michigan in 2022. The EINSTEIN OF LOVE original cast recording can be found on all streaming services.

 

Henry’s first solo album The Cycle debuted in June 2020, followed by his EP Einstein of Love and single Understudy. Henry has extensive experience working in Logic Pro (music production) and Sibelius (music notation).

 

Henry graduated from the University of Michigan Department of Musical Theatre in Spring 2024 with minors in Musical Theatre Composition and Computer Science. He attended Phillips Academy Andover in Massachusetts and French Woods Festival of the Arts in Hancock, NY.
